Collection Versailles
with  Jean-Michel Wilmotte

The Versailles collection emerged from the restoration of the former royal hospital in Versailles, led by architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte. In collaboration with Maison Delisle, he reimagines the classical lantern with refined elegance. Anthracite steel and sandblasted curved glass combine in a luminous, minimalist design, a contemporary tribute to the site’s historic legacy.

Architect and designer Jean-Michel Wilmotte founded his agency in 1975 in Paris. Trained at the École Camondo, he developed a multidisciplinary approach where architecture, design, urban planning, and scenography intersect with clarity. Blending heritage with modernity, his style is defined by precise lines and noble materials, resulting in a sober and timeless aesthetic. A strong advocate of “contemporary grafting,” he respectfully transforms historical sites while embracing contemporary needs. From museum spaces to major urban developments, his projects in France and abroad reflect a rigorous yet human-centered vision, where functionality meets refined elegance.
